LAKE HEFNER JUNIOR SKILLS CHALLENGE

Three skills. Nine stations. Every shot matters.

A flexible golf competition designed to be easy to understand, encouraging to play, and adaptable for different ages and experience levels.

HOW IT WORKS

Two chances at every station. One complete score.

Players rotate through nine stations in small groups. Each station allows two attempts, the better result counts, and all nine station scores are added together.

THE THREE CHALLENGES

A balanced test of scoring, accuracy, and touch.

01

Academy Course · 3 holes

Regular Par-3 Play

Play each short hole as normal. Two balls are played, and the better score is recorded. Birdie, par, bogey, and double-bogey-or-worse earn points.

02

Driving Range · 3 target distances

Closest to the Pin

Hit two shots toward the target at each distance. The closer shot counts. Target distances can be adjusted to suit the age and experience of the group.

03

Putting Green · 3 putt lengths

Long Putt

Hit two putts from each marked distance. The putt finishing closest to the hole counts, and a made putt earns the highest score.

POINTS SYSTEM

Simple scoring that keeps everyone playing.

Every completed station earns at least five points. A difficult shot does not end the day; the next station is always a fresh chance.

MADE TO ADAPT

The same idea can welcome many kinds of golfers.

Junior age divisions

Events can group players by age and, when appropriate, by boys’ and girls’ divisions.

Schools and teams

Station distances and groupings can be adjusted for school golf teams or organized programs.

Families and mixed groups

The format can support parent-and-child teams and other welcoming community events.
